Welcome to SumoStudy, operated by SumoTech Ltd ("we", "our", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 12045570). By accessing or using our application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

2. Service description

SumoStudy is an educational platform providing cloud-based flashcard content with spaced repetition learning. The service is available via web browser and mobile applications. Features include vault subscriptions, study sessions, progress tracking, and AI-assisted content creation for approved creators.

3. Acceptable use

You must be at least 13 years old to use SumoStudy. By using the service, you confirm you have the legal capacity to accept these terms. You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or data
• Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the platform without permission
• Share your account credentials with others
• Upload content that is offensive, misleading, or infringes third-party rights
• Interfere with the security, integrity, or availability of the service

4. User accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use at [email protected].

5. Subscription terms and cancellation

Some features of SumoStudy require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis via Stripe. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the app or by contacting support. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial periods except where required by applicable law.

We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing with reasonable notice. Where price increases apply to existing subscribers, we will notify you by email at least 30 days in advance.

6. Content and intellectual property

All question content, materials, and intellectual property within SumoStudy are owned by SumoTech Ltd or licensed to us. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our prior written permission.

If you contribute content to SumoStudy (for example as a Creator), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute that content within the platform.

7. Limitation of liability

SumoStudy is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SumoTech Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service, including but not limited to loss of data or loss of revenue.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

8. Privacy

Your use of SumoStudy is governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use your personal data in accordance with UK GDPR.

9. Changes to these terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the service after such notification constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms or your use of SumoStudy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
